Randall Lane is Senior Diversity and Global Inclusion Leader for American Express Company and is based in Seattle, Washington. He is responsible for developing and driving overall diversity and inclusion plans to ensure alignment between business and diversity strategies. In this role, he provides thought leadership, consultation, expertise, strategy development and project support to the Chief Diversity Officer, and establishes the framework for leveraging diversity to penetrate diverse markets and customers. He also works with leaders to tailor strategies and actions focused on recruitment, retention, and development, and serves as a key resource for business diversity, supplier diversity, communications and external outreach processes.

A former Naval Officer, Lane has held a number of key financial, administrative and executive positions with Time Warner, Bell Atlantic, NYNEX, the Mashantucket-Pequot Tribal Nation (Foxwoods Casino), Citibank, American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise Financial) and has worked as an independent consultant. Cited as a National Black Achiever by the Harlem YMCA and as one of Minority Business News USA's Best of the Decade in Supplier and Workforce Diversity, he is also the recipient of awards from many other organizations including the US Department of Commerce, National Hispanic Business Group, Hispanic Business Magazine, The New York/New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council, and the National Minority Business Council.

Currently, Lane serves on the Boards of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) - Minority and Women's Business Development Group, the AMAS Musical Theater of New York, The Ice Theatre of New York, the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas in Austin, and advises the Washington State Artist's Trust.

Lane received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Case-Western Reserve University, and an MBA from New York University. He currently resides in Seattle, Washington.
