Tanya Allen Easter joined Chevron three years ago in Houston as a Project Procurement Manager and was appointed Manager of Supplier Diversity and Small Business Programs in April 2007.
Previously, she had 12 years of experience with a company in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction industry holding various positions in Supply Chain ranging from Buyer, Procurement Business Analyst, Contracts Supervisor, Purchasing Supervisor and Project Procurement Manager. In 1999 she served as the company’s Minority & Women Owned Business Liaison.
Tanya has earned a bachelor’s degree in Management & Finance and an M.B.A. in Management, both from Texas Southern University in Houston. She is a Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt and in 2007 earned an Advanced Certificate in Supply Chain Management from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
She is a member of the Institute for Supply Management, National Black M.B.A. Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc..
Tanya is the chair of the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s Petrochemical & Energy Industry Group, and serves on the board of the Institute of Supply Management’s Minority and Women Business Development Group (MWBDG) and Avance-Houston Chapter, an organization dedicated to strengthening families in at risk communities through parenting education and support programs.
