INTRODUCTION
The purpose of the ISM SDG Education & Training
Committee is to formulate and implement and overall
Supplier Diversity education strategy for the SDG
Group. The committee provides ISM members with high
quality and timely educational opportunities and
tools that enhance their knowledge of Supplier Diversity.
SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS
The Education Committee offers high quality, professional
Supplier Diversity related workshops and seminars.
They develop curriculum and identify industry experts
to speak at two pre conference seminars offered
annually during the ISM National Conference. The
course entitled, “How
to Develop and Manage a Supplier Diversity Program”
is designed for companies who are just getting started
or those looking to jump start their current process.
The “Advanced
Strategies in Supplier Diversity” course
is designed for sourcing and diversity professionals
who are interested in a strategic approach to integrating
supplier diversity into the company’s supply
chain process. It provides information on how to
advance supplier diversity to the next level.
The committee is available to offer these and other
supplier diversity related workshops/seminars during
affiliate dinner meetings, workshops, etc. Interested
